As the beautiful and talented Patricia Zentilli pointed out, we wouldn’t be a fundraising campaign without a fundraising event. And as we want to make sure we’re taken seriously we are, of course, planning a fundraising event. (By the way, Patricia also does some very cool artwork ). “The power of positive intention” - who coined that phrase? And how many have marketed some variation of it, before or since, making a gazzillion bucks by telling other people that if they think positively the world will be their oyster? (Forgetting to mention of course that the money in this equation is in good part due to coming up with a new catchy way of selling the same idea to other people.)
Perhaps the pocketchange team should write such a book - because we have actually DEMONSTRATED the “power of attraction”! Kris Booth decided he wanted to make a feature film (and make it NOW), he found someone to write it with, someone to cheer them on, “Gettin’ er done” became the motto, and before we knew it people were calling us asking how they could help, they were sending us “pocket change” from all over the world, and an awesome team of talented people are GIVING their time to see this get done!
I think the key to our success so far is that we have never for a moment thought it can’t be done. We just thought, “Let’s do this!” And maybe that’s all those “gurus” are saying (and I’ll tell you for free), don’t take yourself too seriously because the craziest things catch on if just put them out there without demands or limits. And - joy, enthusiasm, and sometimes blind optimism are infectious!
